Saturday 28 January saw one of Teach Me’s most successful sessions to date witrh participants mastering the art of silver clay jewellery making. A broad variety of techniques were deployed, including making mould to create three dinmensional objects.

Silver clay is a remarkable material made from recycled precious metals recovered from electronic equipment. Moulded just like using plasticine, the models are then fired using simple kitchen blow torches that turn the clay into 99.9% solid silver.
