What is silver clay? This amazing compound of fine particles of silver which are mixed with a non-toxic organic binder and water to form a compound similar to regular clay.  However, once the clay has dried and has been fired using a kitchen blow torch what you then have is something truly amazing – a bespoke piece of 99.9% pure silver jewellery.  Silver clay is so amazing it can pick up the finest details including new born finger prints to keep as a treasured moment or for the bride to be to have a very personal or special charm bracelet made by her bridesmaids or best friends.

The Silver Clay Course covers the step by step process of making an individual item using very simple techniques that you can repeat simply in your own home after the course. During the course you will learn how to Set up your work area, how to use basic tools, rolling, creating textures and firing. As part of the course we also introduce mould making and the compounds used to recreate treasured items by casting in a moulding compound that can be then used to mould the silver clay into.  You will learn to make bales (the loop through which to add a chain).  Everything you need is Included in the course including one pack of silver clay which should be enough to create two small items or one larger item.  Additional clay can be purchased on the day.
