Teach Me boasts two spacious workspaces, fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools to support almost any craft imaginable. Flooded with natural light, air-conditioned in the summer, and cosy during the winter months, the studios are designed to ensure comfort year-round.
The studio keeps class sizes small and friendly, ensuring a supportive and hands-on learning experience. Constantly evolving, the team introduces new crafts, techniques, and knowledge to keep their workshops fresh and exciting. They also offer bespoke workshops tailored for groups or families of all ages and abilities. Accessibility is a priority, with wheelchair ramp access to both studios.

Our Story and Philosophy
Teach Me is the brainchild of John and Yolanda Houston, a pair of passionate and accomplished artists who brought their vision to life after moving from Southeast London to the picturesque town of New Romney in Kent.
With a deep love for art and crafts, Teach Me was created to share knowledge and opportunities with people of all ages and abilities. Whether a complete beginner or an experienced creator, Teach Me provides a welcoming and inspiring environment to explore and develop your creativity.
Yolanda’s expertise in glasswork and mosaics has earned her major public commissions, while John’s artwork has been showcased in prestigious galleries. The pair’s combined experience and passion set the tone for everything Teach Me offers.
A hallmark of Teach Me is its ability to discover and nurture talent among its students, many of whom bring their expertise and prestige by joining the team. Yolanda shares, “I am always in awe of my students whose talents and abilities often exceed my own and I am happy to recruit them on some of the big projects which would not be possible without their contributions.”
Accommodation Available
We have a comfortable self contained annex with double bed and bunk beds. It has a kitchen, living area, shower and separate toilet. There is also an exclusive hot tub and garden kitchen (BBQ).
