About the Oaklands Park Bandstand Mosaic Project
Oaklands Park is about to showcase something truly special: a large-scale mosaic artwork made up of individually designed bricks, each carrying the creativity, personality and imagination of the people who helped make it happen. By joining one of our creative workshops with Teach Me Courses, you will design and mosaic your own brick, which will then become part of a lasting installation around the bandstand — a vibrant artwork that celebrates the community for years to come.
There are only around 230 bricks available, so we are inviting people to register their interest early to secure a space.
Each brick — including your creative workshop to decorate it — will cost £15. You will not be asked for any payment today. At this stage, we are simply collecting names of those who would like to take part. Once workshop dates are confirmed, we will contact everyone who has registered to offer a place and arrange payment.
