Name of Course: Botanical Fabric Bundle Dye – Inspired by Nature
Additional Info: Wear old clothes, no open sandals etc. Suitable for adults – all abilities welcome. Feel free to bring any natural fibre fabric, flowers, foliage or small metal objects you wish to experiment with.
What’s included:
Learn the beautiful art of natural botanical dyeing with artist and designer Claire Martin.
We will use a variety of botanicals – flowers, leaves and even kitchen waste to create a totally unique printed fabric – using a traditional ‘bundle’ steam method.
You will learn to create your own colour palette from nature combining texture and colour to create interest and form, prepare and place dye elements, bundle fabric & steam fabric.
You will take away two beautiful, unique fabric pieces.
Help, guidance and inspiration are on hand throughout the day – allowing you to learn and experience this creative workshop at your own pace.
Materials, equipment, Tea/Coffee, biscuits, lunch, afternoon tea are all included.

Location:
We are situated in New Romney within easy walking distance of the village. Locally there are some excellent restaurants, the beach is approx 30 minutes walk – door to shore! The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is also within walking distance for you to be able to take an excursion if you want to extend your stay prior to or after the course. Rye, Hastings and Canterbury are a short drive away and often have many local festivals or activities taking place.

We have a comfortable self-contained annexe – Seaside Cabin with double bed and bunk beds. There is a kitchen, shower and separate toilet. Continental breakfast is included whilst attending the course.
