What’s included:
All your materials and tools will be provided. You are invited to bring along something small to upcycle, but we can provide mirrors and other objects to work on. This course is for all abilities. We will show you how to apply various coats of paint to achieve a shabby chic look. We’ll also tell you about the paints to use and even tell you how to make your own inexpensive chalk paints! Lunch, refreshments, cake & biscuits are all included.
What our students thought:
A totally fascinating course – I came away with so many ideas I don’t know where to start…! I learned all about mixing different paints, waxing, finishing, decorating, decoupage, stencils and making my own chalk paint from practically any left-over paint I might have – and much, much more. So much information was crammed into the day and gave me a whole new perspective on just how varied and interesting “painting” can be. Extremely interesting, a whole lot of fun and highly recommended.

Teach Me studios are based at 3 Cockreed Lane, New Romney, Kent TN28 8JH. within easy walking distance of the town. Locally there are some excellent restaurants, the beach is approx 30 minutes walk – door to shore! The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is also within walking distance for you to be able to take an excursion if you want to extend your stay prior to or after the course. Rye, Hastings and Canterbury are a short drive away and often have many local festivals or activities taking place.

We have a comfortable self-contained annexe – Seaside Cabin with double bed and bunk beds. There are a kitchen, shower and separate toilet. Continental breakfast is included whilst attending the course.
