Foodie Christmas Reviews

From the moment I first enquired about the course Yolanda was very attentive and helpful, and the moment we arrived all expectations were exceeded, Yolanda and John were so welcoming and friendly and really added to the day. We arrived the night before and stayed in the cabin which was lovely so many extra touches such as having tea coffee mike bread not to mention the face masks and chocolates on the beds. A wonderful course we could not believe the amount covered in the day and went home with a filled hamper of Christmas foodie treats all which we were able to decorate and package. Such a relaxing atmosphere and the studio space was perfect. Two very talented people who were love what they do. John’s lunch was something else and the offering of drinks throughout the day was great. I will definitely be returning to future courses and make a weekend of it. Many thanks for a great day.

I have been to many courses over the years but this ranks as one of, if not the best, I have experienced. Yolanda and John were very welcoming and generous hosts. Yolanda was an excellent tutor and the day was packed with exciting Christmas themed food to make. The lunch was also delicious and had the choice of drinks all day. Definitely on my wish list to return and try another of Yolanda courses. The whole day was excellent from beginning to end.

This course was brilliant from beginning to end. We stayed in the hosts on site accommodation which was amazing and then started our course bright and early. We made a huge selection of Christmas foods led by Yolanda and couldn’t believe the vast amount of delicious bits we left with. If her attentive and friendly teaching wasn’t enough we were fed and watered with delicious food and beverages all day by her lovely partner. I couldn’t recommend these people or course enough and will definitely be returning to learn some more skills... and eat some more grub.Thank you again for a wonderful addition to our family Xmas tradition.

Love Yolanda's enthusiasm and energy! She creates a relaxed and friendly but highly creative atmosphere in her workshops.

Great course. Have just finished my first piece of stained glass. Can't fault Yolanda’s tuition. Friendly class who make you feel welcome. Great tea and biscuits and cake provided by John.

I can’t recommend this copper foil course highly enough. Not only do you get excellent tuition but all materials are included in the price and I know Yolanda won’t let me leave with a disappointing piece of work. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming and so it is really quite motivating. I am so pleased I found this course and I am looking forward to trying stained and fused glass in the future. And more cake!

A great opportunity to learn new skills in a friendly welcoming environment always a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits available. Nice likeminded interesting people to chat with and a chance to try different techniques with glass. Well worth a visit.

Have always wanted to try stained glass but I am artistically challenged! On arriving on my first week I was astounded to see the quality of work from other beginners and thought that I was in the wrong class. However the patience and one to one teaching from Yolanda, the friendly help from others in the class made me return. I look forward to my Monday class and the quality of teaching, plentiful hot drinks and biscuits makes my day. Everything is supplied and Yolanda ensures that we even get to choose our glass. I would definitely recommend this to anyone like me who feels challenged by art classes.

I absolutely love going to this course. Yolanda and John are so very welcoming (chocolate biscuits and as much tea/coffee etc., as you can drink) and the studio is incredibly well appointed. Everything you could need is there for you and included in the price of the course. Other course members are very friendly too. I’d recommend this to anybody who wants to try something different or who has a yearning to work with glass.

Really fantastic course. I have been wanting to do stained glass for the past 20 years or so but only just got there so pleased. Yolanda the course instructor is so enthusiastic she can't help herself but pass her experience to us.

Had a wonderful session , learned so much from wonderful Yolanda , she is such a great teacher. Not only that was good meeting other enthusiastic people all doing lovely things. Made lots of Christmas decorations, can't wait for next week.

Chocolate Course Reviews

Had a great day learning the art of tempering and moulding chocolate. I came home with an assortment of professional looking bars, chocolate lollies and mice, truffles and even a chocolate bowl and lid. All materials and tools were provided as well as refreshments, a delicious lunch and even a glass of bubbly. The studio facilities are excellent and Yolanda is very knowledgeable about the subject. I would thoroughly recommend this course.

Just had the most fabulous Sunday - tempering chocolate and making bars, truffles, lollies etc. Yolanda was brilliant with us and I left knowing I really could do this at home as most equipment I have in my kitchen (except for the thermometers, but thanks to Jonathan’s research I now know where to get hold of one). A lovely couple who run a well planned day with generous hospitality thrown in. Thanks again guys for a great time.

Had a wonderful day making lots of goodies. It was a fun course and we made so many things. It really is great value for money. Yolanda is a very good tutor and the studio is great. The lunch provided was excellent. I would happily recommend the Teach Me Courses.

WOW!!!!! What an amazing day this was. Amazing amount of chocolate available. As with all courses from Yolanda and Jonathan, great studio space, great hospitality too and always a fabulous lunch. This course was amazing, learning how to temper chocolate and making eggs, lollipops, and all sorts of things.... Will definitely do this again ... and having completed this course - will never buy an Easter egg again!!! It is home made all the way ...

Stained Glass Leaded Panel Reviews

I thoroughly enjoyed this one day course. A small group of us, who were made to feel very welcome by both Yolanda and John. Although a bit daunting to begin with (as with anything new), Yolanda soon put us at ease with her very relaxed manner and was a very good & thorough teacher. The room, where we were working, was very light and airy. As all materials and equipment that we required to create our piece of stained glass were provided, the cost of the course was extremely good value. A very impressive lunch, afternoon tea and cake plus hot/cold drinks throughout the day, was exceptional. I am certainly looking forward to my next course! I really enjoyed the relaxed feel to the course, from the off we were all made to feel very welcome and in more than capable hands. The studio was very bright and comfortable, with plenty of space and had everything we required for the course. This was all included in the cost. Yolanda, our tutor was very clear and concise about all aspects of what we could expect to achieve from the day. There was plenty of one to one tuition and help when required as well as lots of good advice. Lunch and afternoon tea were very impressive.

Shabby Chic Review

A totally fascinating course - I came away with so many ideas I don't know where to start.....!! I learned all about mixing different paints, waxing, finishing, decorating, decoupage, stencils and making my own chalk paint from practically any left-over paint I might have - and much, much more. So much information was crammed into the day and gave me a whole new perspective on just how varied and interesting "painting" can be. Extremely interesting, a whole lot of fun and highly recommended.
